It was a rover. A lander or whatever you call it. Some box that does experiments. But a few years back.
Clever chap, Johnny Indian. Our Mars rover (on an ESA rocket)didn't even land properly. They built the rocket, the lander andgot it all working fine for a fraction of the price we wasted.
