    No, that's simply the football club we are nowadays; we've been making excuses for Wenger for years, after all. We cheerfully tolerate performances and results like this one, and worse.

    Remember, the die was cast when Wenger survived the 8-2.
    "Plenty of strikers can score goals," he said, gesturing to the famous old stands casting shadows around us.
