    Well, it kind of depends on your "idiom." If you want the usual fancy stuff like sushi and so on, any of a myriad of places in Chelsea and Tribeca are up your alley. If you want something cheesily authentic, but still pretty damn cool, try the steakhouses in midtown. This is where you have these real old-school Italian waiters serving you, and where the decor is a blend of Wall Street and The Godfather. I am always looking for novelty and enjoy a bit of a joke, so I go for the latter. If you are with some chick you're trying to impress, the former unquestionably.
