I thought that did that when they appointed that chinless Tim Farron, but I have to say I was taken aback when I read the whole non-MP thing. Maybe they want to appoint Charles Kennedy's ghost. At least people noticed them when he was the leader

The other thing is that it's a fairly massive insult to their sitting MPs (and the people who voted for them) that they don't think any of them is good enough to lead the party
