Five weeks until the WC starts.

Is there anything better than a summer with a world cup in it?

Tough to think of one. For Spain Vs Portugal I will be in Oviedo prior to starting the Camino all the way to Santiago de Compostella. I can watch in a little Spanish bar, complete with old men playing dominoes, tapas & cheap sangria

Have you ever been to Oviedo?

Mind you, if there was also a home Ashes series as well, starting the day after the WC Final that would make for an even better summer

Is it sensible, though? I think I read 2 pm and 4 pm kick offs?

I have 2 screens, so instead of having spotify on one, I'll just have either BBC or ITV on it. Plus, the work jolly invites should start appearing soon.

I will be painfully honest here. Aside from Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and perhaps the West Indies, I would take any home test series over a World Cup.

I have so little interest in the World Cup these days that I barely even bother watching the England games.
