This summer. With Koscielny rupturing his Achilles that’s him pretty much done at the top level. Mustafi should be ****ed out the window so that leaves us with Chambers (played well recently), Holding (not having him) and the Greek lad (looked promising at Utd).

I like Holding, think he's better than Chambers, only young and will get better. Agree on the Greek fella

Apparently Munilnat has persuaded Soyuncu to reject Bayern and sign for the Arsenal. So that's one. See also the Greek chap from BVB.

Arsenal have beaten Bayern Munich to the signing of Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu, according to Altinordu president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan.

The 21-year-old centre-back has impressed in the Bundesliga since arriving from the Turkish second tier two years ago and is now expected to move on to the Premier League.

Standard Sport understands Arsenal have been scouting young defenders and signed Konstantinos Mavropanos in January, who made his debut in the recent 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

"Caglar Soyuncu set to join Arsenal," Ozkan confirmed at the International Football Economic Forum.

"Arsenal demanded his youth information from us. We'll earn from him, if he joins Arsenal. Bayern Munich wants him too, but he's on the way to the Premier League."

I still think Mustafi will be much better if we get the new manager right. Someone who can teach Bellerin some positional sense, as an example. Mustafi, Chambers, Holding, a new CB and the bubble looks fine to me.

And a new LB. Monreal has always been underrated imo, but it feels like we're seeing signs of decline. He'll be 33 before the next season is done.
