Yes, insofar as he wanted a conversation to be had. But 'causing a stir' in the sense of 'destroying his career and credibility' probably wanted his desired outcome.

The true cost was infamy, and some rather dubious supporters. As you say, he was a rather clever man. whatever language he had used this was going to make him a hugely controversial politician. He cant have not known that.

Germans, micks and socialists - what a charming collection of racists that is.
There is a synagogue or whatever in Terenure and from what I can see they are left to go about their business without abuse or threat to their lives.

Essentially, and as we do for all minorities in life ethnic or whatever, we stand back and say WD the Jews.

Funny looking ****ers all the same, they all dress as if it is 1972 and not even in an ironic way like the lads in the Pyg.

The Rivers of Blood bit isn't the bit modern lefties get cross about, though. They hate the bit about the black man 'holding the whip hand' over the white man (with its implicit suggestion that things ought naturally to be the other way around) that grinds their gears.

I have never at any time displayed anything less than complete cultural respect for Monty.

Indeed I was sat in the Brownswood Tavern having a few pints pre-match once when they all came round the corner with their beards and wide brimmed hats, I was just about to go out and invite them in for beers just on the off chance one of them was our very own big nose.

Pedro has his own reasons to dislike them for which I cannot answer.

They often chuck up something appalling, apparently. It's a result of wearing heavy woollen clothing in warm weather and not washing so often.

    Dirty *******s.
