    is a saloon style out of the question? I'd love a car with a proper boot.

    The current Mondeo is a great car.

    I'm sure I heard that there are more BMW 3 series on the road than Mondeos.

    When I was younger BMW's were so cool. But I don't like them now.

    Indeed. There are still pockets of absolute garbage if you try hard enough though. I'm thinking mainly of Citroen and Peugeot here.
