So that's railways, water, power, the internet... is there nothing else they can nationalise*?

    *They mean, of course, 'steal'.

At one point, some of them were talking about nationalising Wetherspoons.

Presumably then we could all drink nothing but Victory Gin to fire us up for the two minute hate?

The Party's main enemy being, of course, Emmanuel Goldstein...

    It all fits.

I am not going to read this but isnt the fact that it is US owned going to make nationalising it rather difficult?

Apart from he million other reasons, obviously.

Would you willingly drink in a state-owned boozer?

I quite like the idea, as a novelty.

Mind you, I would love to see them try and nationalise Facebook. Can you imagine what Facebook's lawyers would do to them?

That is just one of a million or so flaws in the argument, yes.

I always think Sam Smith's pubs feel a bit nationalised. Cheap-ish, with no brands, surly service, sticky tables, the smell of sour beer and generally unsatisfactory toilets.

You think the day Our Jeremy (pbuh) is elected General Secretary of the People's Praesidium (For Life) the opinions of lawyers are going to matter any more?

Those attempting to defy Our Dear Leader will be lucky to get a show trial and the mercy of a Nagan to the back of the head. In general, summary justice will be dispensed by the local chapter of Our Momentum in the form of being ranted to death by Comrade Owen Jones.
