On Thursday we are going to be buried under about 10 feet of snow

I thought Spring had sprung, as such.

Why are we playing on a Thursday?

Do we not have a match this weekend then.

    12 months in a year and 4 seasons. 12 divided by 4 = 3.

    Winter: December, January, February.
    Spring: March, April, May.
    Summer: June, Juy, August.
    Autumn: September, October, November.

    Simple, see?

The chances of that game being played are about 1 in 100.

Well yes I was of this same understanding as you but recently was told I am wrong and that the actual summer months are May-June-July, something science based related to the amount of sunlight afforded to the Northern Hemisphere in these months.

Don't believe everything you're told, sw.

No, he was a bicycle thief from Limerick.

    He was actually a teacher.

May is often the most summery month in terms of warmth, sunshine, and lack of rain.
Sometimes September is summery, while at least one or two of June July August are disappoint.
