    I drive a diesel car.

    It's grand. It's a car.

That's it. Anything else can, if I may make so bold, do one.
Well I suppose you won't be here to see petrol engines phased out so you needn't loose any sleep.

I want an M4 but I fear the mpg on my commute would be less than desirable.

I have grown to enjoy the sound of my diesel clattering away on idle. In the summer days when my window would be open, I'd sometimes pretend I was a HGV driver as it sounded similar. I have always wanted to be a HGV driver for a day.

Compared to the equivalent petrol car, it is noisy, underpowered, inflexible and expensive. It's not necessarily a bad car, it's just a worse car than a petrol car.

Actually, my 435d is faster than a 440i. And does more mpgs. And has many more torque.

Cheeky young swine. The new, healthy me will be living forever.

I'll have you know my blood pressure today was 118 over something. 118!

Before or after your morning coffee?

It is not faster. In the real world, driven properly, it is far less fast. It is more economical over long distances, but unless you drive in excess of 15,000 miles a year, this will be offset by the higher maintenance and purchase costs.

And torque is good for pulling tree stumps out of the ground. Do you use your car to pull up many tree stumps?

I am unsure how it is underpowered as you say as after applying the accelerator it goes up the necessary speed depending on the road which I am travelling.

In this respect it has all the power I need.

Are you perhaps a F1 driver, if so I apologise for the confusion.

In the morning I drink Earl Grey. With a slice of lemon.
