Not for fifty million quid, we wouldn't, no. This fellow has (according to my figures) precisely three seasons to win us the league and or the European Cup.

In reality all he has to do is score a winner v Spurs.

No, I tell you! It's different for that sort of money.

And I tell you, we are different.

We celebrate finishing 4th ffs. We have been hoodwinked and duped by a specialist in failure into accepting failure as success.

And we accepted it, largely anyway, because He also convinced us that we didn't have enough money. Now we obviously do have serious readies, and since Leicester City have won the Premier League, that ̶e̶x̶c̶u̶s̶e̶ reason is clearly no longer going to fool anybody.

I gather we've been watching our new chap for many years but Wenger was never really convinced. Until now, after the last couple of years AL has had.
It's a world gone to seed, my friend. But really, why *should one have to nurture strikers. Farm them out, bring them back. Simple. And yes, it is a business, not just a game. Do we want to win or don't we. Aint no prizes for second now is there.

It's his attitude that doesn't impress me. On his day he's unplayable but most of the time he doesn't look bothered and certainly not someone I'd describe as a "Team" player.

He is young though and maybe at a club the size of a United he will have to work a bit harder to keep his place

Yes - remembering the United game when Everton had a couple of breakaways but he made runs for himself rather than the team, that really pissed me off. Happy if he does that at United though. Interesting to see how they line up really. Not sure they realise quite what a good player they have in Mhkitaryan. If they get the best out of him I'll be very worried

It's no good judging strikers by the standards of other players though; they're supposed to play for the team by scoring loads of goals. Especially if the striker in question cost you fifty million pounds

United are a classic scenario of what looks like a brilliant football team "on paper".

It becomes amusing when JM is then factored in and enforces on them a structure of play or tactics which make them duller than a Dutchman.

The potential combination of players like Lukaku, Rashford, Mhkitaryan, Pogba, Herrera, Mata is marvellous by why bother when you can win 1-0.
