Limerick is the big, sophisticated metropolis for my lot, sw. The journey from Kilteely to Pallas Green is considered a major undertaking.

Why would Limerickians put up a statue of a bloke who, quite sensibly, fúcked off at the first opportunity?

Why on earth has this purveyor of anodyne mediocrity been honoured with a statue. Lynott's statue is equally as appalling but he was a fúckin' rocker maaan!!

    Indeed.

"A number of people travelled from Britain to attend the ceremony in person, including several former BBC colleagues and members of the TOGs (Terry’s Old Geezers and Gals) fan club.

Wogan's fans and the large crowd in attendance at the banks of the River Shannon applauded its unveiling."
