    Hmm. Mbappe....

And a report in the French daily Le Parisien claims that Mbappé is particularly interested in a move to Arsenal, because he is a huge fan of how Wenger has developed young French players in the past.

“Wenger, he is a great,” a source told the newspaper. “If Mbappé were to sign for Arsenal tomorrow, it would be for him.

“He knows how to produce youngsters and especially former French international team forwards, Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka. Only playing in the Europa League is not an obstacle for him.”

It wasn't going to happen in the first place. I also don't want to sign a player who sees himself at Madrid or Barca in 3-4 years time. All that means is that for every season he's with us you'd have an annual transfer saga. **** that ****.

Surely the only way to sign world class players who DON'T see themselves in Madrid or Barca in 3-4 years time is to only buy the ones who are too old to command any interest from such clubs?

When's the last time we had a marquee player who didn't end up being linked with such a club? Bergkamp? Pires, at a push?

Or sign their rejects. RvP wasn't linked with them as far as i can remember but he's probably the only truly world class player we've had in recent times who wasn't.

Yeah but we still lost him to a bigger more attractive club, so

    Definitely a reliable source

Mbappe is set to meet with the clubs hierarchy once his duties with the France international squad are complete.
The 18-year-old will sit down and discuss a contract extension with the club, accompanied by his parents.

French outlet Le Parisien claim Monaco and Mbappe share the same determination to continue working together for at least another season.
