Everyone needs a telecaster in their Arsenal.

Commonly held misconception. That's a hybrid, a Tele body with an Esquire neck, much modified over the years.
I'm mad for an SG, but then I favour the growliness of Gibson.
It may be heresy to say it, but is a Tele not just a precursor to a Strat really?
SG is my preference. I love the Gibson growl too. I like my strat but only the Neck pick up it sounds great but otherwise it's a bit wimpy.
Tele is tempting if I want to learn some country stuff. I may have already have a telebut it's in my parents loft as it's junk.
