    For some reason, Italian players don't do well in England. I think only Balotelli has won the Premier League?

    Very few top Italian players have come to England at their peak.

    Others who did well - Zola, Vialli, Di Canio

    Historically they are not really a footballing nation prone to travelling I believe.

    It's the weather. You can't expect a native of Turin or Milan to deal with chilly English winters.
