    Sunday could be a disaster. A Spurs victory could see them close the gap on

    Chelsea (depending on their result) and confirm they finish above us.

    On the other hand, anything other than a victory would effectively mean they can't win the league, which would be nice.

    Yes, it all depends on the Chelsea game earlier in the day. If they can squeeze out a win at Everton (their last tough fixture on paper) then it will take the sting out of our game significantly.

    Also, ironically, the fact that spurs have a shot at the title has had the unintended consequence of rendering their finishing above us a little inconsequential.

    If they finish above us but don't win the league, the achievement will feel like a damp squib for them.

    When they finish above us they will celebrate it... especially if we fail to get in the CL

    Briefly but ultimately it will be seen as vindication of their growth / development coupled with our demise.

    Then the hard work begins for them.
