    And if you put the euphoria of a cup final place aside, they dominated the first half and but for some fortuitous referee decisions and some second half woodwork we might have lost fairly easily.

    None of which denigrates the second half and extra time performances which were mostly excellent.

    Just needs some perspective given how bad we've been recently.

    One fortuitous linesman decision tbf. Not sure you can count Aguero falling over his own feet as a pen. Though you could say we were lucky the ref didn't buy it.

    As for the first half - at first I thought we we were rubbish as we couldn't get and keep the ball but as it went on I found myself thinking that if we could get to half time without conceding we'd have a chance.

    Still think the ball went over the line. They got away with two penalties too and were getting most of the less important decisions, which do add up.
