I suspect the wenger situation hasn't helped. Now they seem to know he is staying the players attidues seem to have changed. There's is FA vid in the tunnel on YouTube showing wenger congratulating all the players and they all seem happy. Even Wenger looks better appearance wise

Yep. They are the only big rival we seem not to mind playing against. Partly because of how they play (like us), but also because we don't have loads of psychological baggage and don't generally dislike them as a club.

And if you put the euphoria of a cup final place aside, they dominated the first half and but for some fortuitous referee decisions and some second half woodwork we might have lost fairly easily.So in other words, "It was only Man City"
None of which denigrates the second half and extra time performances which were mostly excellent.
Just needs some perspective given how bad we've been recently.
