What is concerning you right now?

currently if my new washing machine will fit.

the old one was 59.5cm the new one is 60cm visually there isn't much of a gap.
I don't want to have to start hacking cabinets and sawing skirting boards.

    It will fit.

These things are pretty much standard these days. Your issue is 0.5cm, if the gap was really that marginal you would not have got the old appliance out.
