Something happened at Lunchtime that has made me emotional :hide:

I went out for my usual walk at lunchtime and then in my usual spot.

The roadsweeper fella who I see around often walks up to me and says.

Hello, and proceeded to tell em how the cash machine just swallowed his card and he needs £3 quid to get home. I have him the £3. This wasn't your typical bloke asking for money, I know a scam or a routine routine when I see one.

I gave him the £3, he looked so ashamed and I told him don't worry about it, it's fine.

Tears were coming from his eyes and he smiled and shook my hand. It wasn't fake stuff as he was trying to hide it. even when he was walking off he was still upset.

It's made me feel weird all afternoon.

I like to think I have helped a man out.

I am not giving anything to the other fella who plonks himself in the way in front of tescos.
It's busy in the city and he's causing an obstruction, with his little book collection. Tosser.

in addition I am not shaking a regular tramps hand.

One asked me for a light once and he put his crusty paws over my hands to block the wind.

You should immediately have demanded the money back imo. Don't these people know that the very last thing we want is to be touch by them?
