At what distance would you use the telephone to speak to someone in the same office?

No. I'm a get-up-and-go-talk to 'em type but others prefer to phone ahead. Perhaps being physically approached and loomed at is not to everyone's taste.

I hate to think of human social interaction at a physical level being a matter of concern for fear of 'looming'. How did our ancestors ever build communities and societies? Why, they grunted in each others faces, that's how!

Facial grunting, that's what I'm advocating here.
