This has to be one of the most pathetic things I've ever read

A 30 year-old woman who spends her life pontificating in print about weighty matters is frightened and traumatised by the prospect of buying furniture.

    Fùck. Me.

Harsh imo. She's only asking for tips AFAICS. She doesn't say she's frightened. I, on the other hand, am pretty much incapable of doing any shoppping at all (apart from the groceries). Especially clothes. I don't even know which shops I'm still allowed in at my age.

How can you be 30 years old and not know how or where to buy furniture, a? How?! Has she never seen an advertisement break? Or a retail park? Can she not use the internet? I am simply dumbfounded by the sheer lack of savvy.

On another note, I see that everyone's recommending IKEA to her. I do hope she buys her furniture there, at which point I will take great delight in pointing out that its founder and owner is a Nazi.
