I blame the people jinxing it. I thought we might be in with a shout today, and then I looked at the BBC text coverage at the start, and they'd posted a tweet or whatever from someone saying "They'll be all out for 200. No problems for us" and I knew it would go badly.
Just like yesterday. They show Bairstow's year by year average on the TV screen and say look how great he's been this year, and gets out next ball.
They do it on purpose.
