Sir C, I take it you're going to The Caretaker?

  2. #2

Aye. Have you seen this production?

  3. #3

Hadn't you better get a move on? Sobriety and Pinter don't mix well, imo.

  4. #4

Next Thursday, dude. I am cooking osso bucco with risotto all a Milanese.

  5. #5

Shrood. Still plenty of time to get out of it.

  6. #6

No. I saw it with Gambon and with an all-black cast. But want to see this, Daniel Mays is

astonishingly good actor. I saw him in The Red Lion, Mojo and Trelawny of the Wells (creaky old stuff that) and he more or less stole the show every time.

    Wait, did Gambon black up?

Or was he just playing the role of token honky?

I cant stay away from this racial stuff today.

  8. #8

No! they were two separate productions. The Gambon one had Rupert Graves and Douglas Hodge. Heck of

    a cast!

  9. #9

God, british theatre is so safe nowdays. Zwarte Gambon wouldve been ace

I'm currently watching James May put stuff together on BBC4. It's oddly hypnotic watching this

rumpled, middle-aged man use a screwdriver and mumble. It's almost enough to make me like the BBC because literally on no other network on earth would this happen

Also, I rather like James May. He seems fundamentally nice.
