    It’s not about the headliners.

    Man.

This is the usual response when such less than impressive headliners are announced. Being a veteran of the festival I can concur to a degree.

Utter ****e mind you, though of course all massively successful.

I get the feeling Coldplay were trying to be a bit edgy in their new song by saying

    Scousers and Mancs?

Friendly and affable during the day casually seguing into menacing and nasty as night time falls. One year (90 or 91) when the Mondays played it was particularly chaotic in this sense.

Surely these days people just bring their own.

I only ever went 5 times.

Lost so many hours in that brief spell mind you. Last time was 94 just when it was all exploding and of course Orbital played their seminal set.

Friday night set from memory, NME stage. Suede finished up??

The Orb and Primal Scream on the Saturday. The Orb in 93 is my all-time favourite Glastonbury live ‘experience’.
