Left unacknowledged on AWIMB was that Ospina made two saves today

that Cech wouldn't have come close to saving. Not advocating a switch, just saying that he isn't crap.

btw, on that millimeter save, what was Gibbs doing nestled against the back of the net? LOL

Two great saves and a few decent ones, most saved an Arsenal keeper has made in years apparently.

Does have a tendency to put the ball back into play when parrying shots though.

thought he was top class last season, not as good as

cech but still a great number two

The case could be made that given our style of play we need a more active

keeper rather than a positional one like Cech. Most matches our keeper will get a more sporadic chance that requires one big, athletic save.

I'd still opt for Cech as #1, I guess.

He made some good saves but he remains unconvincing.

Two or three times he just palmed the ball straight back into the middle. I don't agree that Cech wouldn't have saved them either. He's a drastically better keeper in all areas, and he's made some wonderful reflex saves this season. Ospina was very lucky with the one that nearly crossed the line too. He got himself in a terrible position and got away with it.

I saw a stat today that with Ospina we have a 72% success rate Bow
