I'll have a vowel please, Carol

    Jesus, imagine welsh countdown.

"I'll have a consonant please, Hywell"

    "and another consonant"

    "and another consonant"

    "and another consonant"

    "and another consonant"

    "and another consonant"

    "and another consonant"

And compliments of this Saint's day to you as well, r.

  6. #6

Yes. Oddly enough, it's the one ex-pats all over the world always celebrate.

    Not me, of course.

Really? It's not even the most significant national Saint's day in March, ffs!

Indeed, St David wasn't even the most famous Saint from Wales.

Basically, I'm saying St David is rubbish.

  9. #9

Yeah, I think it represents the latent, yet essential, anti-Englishness

of that particular group of worthies.

  10. #10

Oh, that's alright, then. Anti-Englishness doesn't bother me. The day people stop hating us is the

day we sink into meaningless obscurity as a people and nation.

Indeed, I find it rather heartening the way the Iranians in particular still seem to see us as some sort of arch nemesis. Brings a swell of pride to the old chest every time you see one of them burning the flag.
