    I have a Highgate history book with an ad for the houses on the Holly Lodge when they were built. Might be interesting to see what they went for back then, compared to average earnings at the time and compare with now.

    Yes, but it's the Monday mornings that make the Friday evening's so much more fun, surely?

    If all the year were playing holidays, to sport would seem as tedious as to work and all that.

    that Highgate thing is interesting - mind you after taxes and converting back into pounds my wages are probably about average for 1920
