I suppose so. How do musicians measure success?

Awards, money, or is merely living the lifestyle enough?

I think anyone would be wise to consider success as anything that includes

having a good time, making some music to be proud of, getting some critical acclaim, getting knob-gobbled by groupies, watching anything from a couple of hundred people having a brilliant time watching you play, or putting up with some right divas in the cause of making a half-decent record.

Requiring mass adoration and financial lucre on a vast scale is probably an unwise bar to set.

    Decent piece here, I thought:

Very decent. It sounds much like everyone's life, to be honest.

Albeit without the thrill of standing onstage at Glastonbury with 300 people singing along to a song you wrote in your bedroom.

Yep. Just make the most of what you're doing.

Just don't do it for too long that there isn't time to sort out some kind of regular income from a proper job, that's all.

Join the army, imo. It's a man's life.
