So, back to Eastbourne tomorrow, for a meeting finishing at 12.

I still hanker after a luncheon of fish and chips, by the sea, in a steamy restaurant - possibly accompanied by a cup of tea. Last week, however, I bottled it due to the clientele being old and common.

How can I achieve my culimary goal without being mocked? I assume one doesn't book in advance in these places - but when I enter, should I sit myself, or will there be a maitre d' to assist me?

I might be after something a little more traditional, tbh.

I want to be served by an old lady in an apron.

I expect they do a terrific doner, as well. I just happen to be in the market for cod and chips.

'Addock, if I were up norf.

I want bread and butter. I wouldn't even mind a wally on the side. But I don't want any fancy guff, nor any foreign muck.

    Gashi my arse.
