    Is it their decision because they are batting or catching?

    Also, can they not just set an unrealistic target or is there some sort of formula to determine the target score?

    it is the batting side's option. They can set any target they want, the trick us

    To set one that it is unlikely to be chased down but tempting enough for the chasing side to go for it and thus be more likely to lose wickets. It is basically complicated, j

    It's very similar to the football actually. Just imagine the balance and fluctuations in play

    extended over five days, rather than just two 45 minute halves.
