    I get two large geese usually; one feeds six and the other is left for sandwiches the next day.

    I don't f**k about with them; prick skin, boiling water, salt and five spice, roast to medium-rare.

    I once got what I thought was a large goose. It just about fed four people with no seconds.

    I'm not sure I hold with goose sandwiches. It sounds wrong.

    Best sandwich ever. There are people in this house inclined to riot at the suggestion

    of no goose sandwiches.

    Your large goose can't have been a large goose tbh.

    I don't know about Cockermouth pricing, obviously, but I pay about 110 - 120 per bird.

    This may explain it. Mind you, I ordered the size that Raymond reckoned would feed six.

    Clearly, Raymond is a tightarse when it comes to portions.
