is one decent Indian but most places closed at lunchtime! Had to stoop to Cafe Rouge!!!

On arrival the owner was too nice.
Taking his time to show how everything worked. From the TV to the Shower. Ok yes thank you.

Upon leaving he was a right c**t.

Bit boring there really. Once you've seen the few sites there is not much left to do

I once had dinner in the actual RSC, which was OK. Rolls-Royce were paying. The hotel was nice as

I only come here because little the RSC does nowadays goes to London. Theatre food is good and there

Shakespeare Hotel is the best for a first visit, Falcon a good alternative at half the price.

I think I was put off the place by the peculiar B&B I stayed in.

There are plenty of cheap hotels, no need to bother with guest-houses here.

The Arden, I think it was. Does that sound right?

Yes. Just opposite the theatre. Used to be a Thistle hotel (dread chain!) but it's something else

Yes. Nice rooms, but a tiny bar.
