I guess it's because he doesnt do those big, flash, oh-****-im-in-the-wrong-position sliding tackles Terry is so fond of and choses to talk calmly and quietly to his team mates rather than ball and clap in the 'passionate' style so loved by the press.
Also, a surprisingly decent passer, versatile in his younger days too.
