I'm excited about tonight. If we are indeed now a bona fide title-challenger, there's a reasonable

    chance we'll show it tonight.

That's an exciting prospect. I don't understand the pessimism below. Am I entirely mistaken and we are in fact *not* potential title-challengers?

list our last 6 home results and you might get it?

So we're not potential title-challengers? Frown

  4. #4

Of course we are, 1 game (good or bad) makes dick all difference

Exactly how relevant are end of season games to this season?

i would suggest not very and even so, that run include two 4-1 victories and a draw with the eventual champions

I was stating that our home form has not been great for a while

and the end of season games weren't meaningless at the time.

I don't think they have anything to do with it, but if you take current form neither side look great so over optimism isn't justified imo

One of the results you mention was a 4-1 win over the side we are playing

No cause for optimism there? Miserable *******

    Ozil's free kick Clound Nine

the other 4-1 was against a team on holiday.. the otyher 4 we haven't scored in

so we either win 4-1 tonight or fail to score and be happy with a draw

The 03-04 run-in was quite relevant to the start of the following season.

in fact the last couple of seasons we have carried our form over to an extent.

Chelsea didn't try to win, you know that. WBA were a joke, and the 'pool win was our last good game.
