Thread: I'm not sure how I feel about Sunday's game. A win would feel more hollow than it should

  1. #11

Thierry came on against us for Barca and was apparently 'ironically' booed

Like our fans are capable of an emotional reaction as nuanced as irony

  2. #12

I appreciate that but not his fault.

What was he to do, sign on the dole?

We turned him down, not the other way round. If his snake-like departure of the club rankled so much then no f**ker would have wanted him back but many many did.

  3. #13

PV4 turned up for Inter in the game when Cesc (as he was to me then) signalled that the old order

had changed and was roundly booed. I think that was supposed to be ironic, too. PV seemed to laugh about it, anyway.

Well it would have helped if he hadn't been quite so vocal about how he'd never play for any other

English team, with particularly scathing reference to Chelsea.

Rub chin Could be one of those optical illusion jobs like that dress thingy.

    Or I may have the early-onset Alzheimer's.

It was Juve. Pires made a tackle and everything.

Actually, he only ever said he wouldn't join another English club directly from Arsenal, which I

think is a pretty honourable compromise.

Manu Petit retrospectively said he would also never have gone directly to Chelsea from The Arse.

He wasn't roundly booed in any way until he took a dive

Got a great reaction at the start

  10. #20

    Mmmmm, Pires's tackle Love
