City already above Chelsea on the Deloitte list, I see. Rub chin

Can anyone make sense of these figures when you factor in all the moody sponsorships ?

What do you not understand? Revenue includes every form of income.

It does not show profitability, though.

I'm just questioning the revenue source.

Early exits from the CL and gate receipts far below ours, I'd have thought.
TV money ? - Should be about even.
Sponsorships & Commercials - Rather large black hole.

All that sort of thing remains "off budget", I'd say.

    And rightly so.

it's not a black hole at all though, is it? Everything has to be declared and vetted by UEFA.

As you must have seen, some of their sponsorship last season was deemed 'bad' and so wasn't counted towards FFP.

As a result, they failed, got a 49m EUR fine and had their CL squad size restricted by 4 for this season.

If it was as easy as getting an owner to sponsor 1bn then it would be done by both Chelsea and City.

I have no idea but when you think they've usurped Chelsea, who 'acquired' Abramovich

twelve years ago, it's quite some achievement.

Sadly FFP wasn't around when they were assembling one of the strongest squads in world football.

Had it been, then it would have taken a lot longer. Oh well - at least we beat them.

FFP is not only a c**t Richard, it is totally wrong

I hope FFP gets cancer. And it's children. And it's children's children
