don't think that it will be a great way to get around FFP. You aren't going to get established superstars playing for a MLS team and going on loan for six months.

They will mostly be older players etc.

What if the MLS team sign a player

then they just loan the player out for the whole season?

Then you can have ****loads of extra players on the books. (well a few different books)

New York City in partnership with the Yankees
Melbourne City in partnership with the Storm
Yokohama City in partnership with Nissan

Currently signing off a deal for Johannesburg City and FC Rio. the latter subject to approval from the Brazilian FA.

Well if an MLS team signed a player, paid all of their wages and yet loaned them out every season

for the duration of their time you would think it would be quite obvious what was going on.

To be fair it's only fat frank.

Doubt well see Lionel Messi sign for Melbourne City then join City on loan.

But it wouldn't be 'wrong' as such.

The loaning to other PL teams should be looked at too.
I can't recall the maximum players. But in recent seasons we've had 'top 4' challengers playing against us with City or Chelsea loanees. Who of course can't play against their parent club.

So for example City can be in the lead and the other teams around the 5 and 6 positions are strengthened which can only benefit City.

    But what can you do.

I can't really see why City want him.

Though they probably don't want him really.

Johannesburg City and FC Rio? Great info. Cheers Mickey Thumb Up

Have City explained why they have done it this way?

Other than to ride ride roughshod over the vague, unenforcable FFP rules?

Its just a test to see if they get away with it.

Then next year they buy messi
