Wilshere should be taking vitamin D and drinking more milk to strengthen his bones.

...as well as not being involved in meaningless friendlies Bang head :bangheid:

    They're not meaningless ***Free Money***

  4. #4

It may be important to accept here that what we see as meaningless

are actually very important games for the players.

  5. #5

    Aye, right...

  6. #6

Sure. Let them forfeit their wages then for the duration of the injuries acquired in what are

meaningless games to us if they're so important to them.

  7. #7

Not really sure what you are on about here.

I think, not 100% sure, that clubs on occasion can claim compensation from a national FA for a player being injured on international duty.

Are you suggesting the players also see these games as meaningless, or as meaningless as we do?

  8. #8

Friendlies may be important to them, not to us. Compensation won't cover the loss of a trophy if,

for example, Wilsher's absence were the crucial factor in us losing one.

So if these friendlies are important to them - but not to the club - it would be only fair if they were to take the consequences of injuries.

Something like ¤20k a day for up to a year, I think.

The clubs do benefit though, from the extra exposure they get

when their players turn out for their countries.
