Unspeakably dull position. Midfield is where the action is, it's the centre of the line. It is also a tacit acknowledgement of your ability that you are trusted with it. :-)

I think it is also partly because he is ****ing **** at full back. Same with Zinchenko. If they were actually decent full backs you wouldn't feel the need to create a role for them.
