Not particularly related to anything but Mary Queen of Scots was 5'11".

Big chick for that for the 16th century. Could have added some height to the Arsenal back line.

Did you know that, after she was executed, her dog shot out from under her skirts where it had been the whole time. Also, when the executioner (who took a few blows to sever her head) went to pick her head up by the hair and do the 'Behold the head of a traitor' bit, he actually picked it up by the wig, so it rolled off under the dais and had to be retrieved by various people on their hands and knees.

All in all, not a particularly dignified end for the scotch/French lass.
