Those Ocado bastards have stitched me up and delivered wholemeal pitta.

Is there anything viler than wholemeal pitta? :-(

No white bread? What of the baguette, the pain de campagne, the pain flute? What of the foccacia, the ciabatta? What of the pizza, the roti, the pide?

If I have bread these days, it's generally a rye/wholemeal combo.

Did I tell you I cracked Pad Thai over the weekend? The trick is not to pre-cook the rice sticks, but to soak them in cold water until pliable and then cook them in the pan with all the other stuff. Not bad at all.
