Georgie Graham just took bungs. Yeah, we were mid-table, but we got to Eu finals.

And we didn't lose them 3-0.

And Merse was off his head so it felt like our sort of team.

And we could defend.

Admittedly, the Hillier, Selley, Morrow MF is a bit like Xhaka x 3.

But we still had Wrighty.

Hillier &. co were compared to the likes of Steve ****ing Walford. Of course we were happy with that.

See, I was comparing Hillier et al to Thomas, Davis and Rocky. Only saw Walford at most twice.

That was the thing. When we kept that MF and Limpar with Wrighty and the defence, we were my fave team ever (until the Bergy and Titi era.)

Happily, there wasn't really time between the equaliser and Sunderland's winner to discuss Wally's contribution too much.

I lost my lighter in the post-goal bundle as well. When they were pulling Wembley down, i wonder if a workman found a 1970s Ronson down a crack somewhere.
