If the same rules for CL applied to the past top 4 teams going through
we'd have qualified
93/94
91/92
90/91
89/90
88/89
86/87
80/81
79/80
I can't be bothered to go back any further.
other notable years include 95/96 where we finished 5th but level on points with Villa.
Apart from a few seasons such as 94/95 92/93 82/83 we have always been around that 7th - 1st spot.
So Wenger is rather good.

I fear it may all turn a bit nasty if we get a good thumping on Wednesday night.
I see Wrighty and Snail Face are off on one again..
He's better suited to Liverpool. Klopp in the Kop.
Can't just pick a manager because their names suits the team, p
There are some people who have never noticed that.
Pretty f**king stupid comment really because
a) we aren't without him (take Costa's goals from Chelsea and they wouldn't be doing so well)
b) If we were without him someone else would be playing their
c) We are actually midtable anyway :hide:
We should go for either Gunnar Halle or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Are there any called 'Out'
Can we have a sporting director too?
I'd say it's been a very long protracted decline, failing to fill the glaring holes we all see, for
half a dozen seasons. (or more)
Re: If the same rules for CL applied to the past top 4 teams going through
so actually your "data" shows that we would have qualified regularly for CL long before AW arrived.
