There are a few in her class that have this. It is kinda like the thought process drifts off at tangents to the norm and takes more time to return to the expectated path. That isn't to say that a child or adult can't concentrate on something for hours, just that at times, something else takes over the concentration and makes the mind drift off.
Aspergers is a mild form of autism. I know very liitle about it and the wife has not come across any cases in her job.
To expect common sense from people proves you are lacking it yourself!
