arriving for a major sporting event" hype incredibly funny. It's not like London isn't full of tourists every summer and we have major sporting events going on all the time, with tens of thousands of people being transported about the capital.

If anything, we're more geared up for this than most host cities.

I've always loved footie in London because of the intimacy, sure, you don't want to drive to a football game and there's a cue for the tube afterwards, but blimey, the way 60,000 people are funnelled out of the emirates after the game is excellent. No city is better prepared for handling masses than London.

Olympics out in the sticks just because it's practical is silly, imo.
